Instead of being hard and getting a headache, these are heavily padded to soften bumping around inside a heavily armoured tank. They come with built in ear cups to soften external noise and also act as a headphone. Some of these may have had the tank jack harvested and the wiring ends abruptly. A throat microphone straps around your neck below the chin.
