Grape Cross Necklace

Grape Cross NecklaceHere is our grape cross necklace which is part of a collection of grape jewellery fashioned from a bunch of grapes found in a charity shop. Not sure if I was under the influence of a couple of glasses at the time I dreamt this one up, but I had a lot of fun creating it. A tiny pearlised white mid century handbag which opens and snaps shut on a long necklace of pearlised white star and gold effect beads with minute cross charms

We have hand embellished some stylish vintage textilepieces and found other wonderful items in similar colours to complement the bag

A fabulous pair of early 20th century desert goggles with turquoise blue glass lenses and  wonderfully worn copper frames

although we don’t know exactly when he was made

just pin to lapels

I have backed each bird with black felt and then given them all a colourful handbeaded 'aura'

I absolutely love the chunky steel chain and two lightweight studded balls which make the most splendid pendant

This piece would look fabulous layered with other longer pieces
