Like the Poisets this is notably rich with its relatively large-scaled flavors that also enjoy good density thanks to the abundant dry extract that also coats the palate and pushes the firmer supporting tannins to the background

the larger-scaled flavors possess more size and weight if not the same refinement or minerality as the Latricières where the supporting tannins coat the palate on the grippy

From their steep hillside vineyards on Pritchard Hill

As is the case with several wines in the range

An expressive and notably more elegant than usual nose offers up notes of various red berries

This is even more floral-inflected with an abundance of spice elements adding breadth to the airy and cool aromas of primarily red berries

but with some Cabernet Franc (rarely seen in the Médoc these years) as well as Merlot and Petit Verdot

or obtrusive tannin or acidity

A ripe but cool and highly complex nose of moderately wooded aromas of violets

The tannin is buried beneath an amazing amount of concentration

It is easily one of the most complete and compelling wines of the vintage
