Orvis CFO III 1971 pre-production reel - very scarce!For sale here is an Orvis CFO III fly reel from 1971, 1 of 30 reels made with no engraving script on the backplate, called the "pre production" model. The reel remains in excellent condition. Earliest of the screwback CFO models. Comes with original zippered suede case and paperwork. Right or left hand retrieve. Capacity up to a WF6 line + 50 yards of 20# backing.

The rod weighs 3 3/4 oz and has a very nice medium fast dry fly action
