viking sword tyrThe sword has been made after several 11th century originals found in i. a. Ireland, Sweden, England, Norway and The Netherlands. The cross guards and the pommel are crafted from hardened brass and decorated in the Ringerike style. The length of the sword is approx. 104 cm and weighs 2,1 kg. It is dispatched including a scabbard without belt loop. This sword is a Petersen type V. This sword has a semi sharp edge.
A notable use of the maul occurred with archers in the 15th and 16th centuries
